Graeme and Margi welcome you to Clarence House, a lovely old former Victorian gentleman 's residence completely refurbished to include 4 warm and comfortable letting rooms. Two of those have en-suite shower, one is a twin, the other a double. The third double bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom and all four have power showers. All are equipped with flat screen digital televisions, alarm clock radios, complementary toiletries, hairdryers and full tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities with biscuits. Walkers and cyclists are very welcome and we have a room for drying you out if necessary, hopefully by the following day. We are situated about half a mile from the centre of the quaint ever-popular village of Shanklin, within a short downhill walk to the sandy beach. Most of the major stores are represented in Newport, the Isle 's capital just a few miles away. There are a vast number of attractions throughout the Isle, all within very short distances to cater for all tastes.

Lake - Road: Approaching Shanklin from Lake, turn left into Clarence Gardens at the very top of Arthur s Hill. We are the first house on the left. br/ br/ Ryde Pier Head - Train: Train terminates at Ryde Pier Head where the Wight Link jet catamaran berths, so can be caught for a direct trip to Shanklin which is the last stop. br/ br/ Ryde - Boat: Hovercraft for foot passengers only operates between Southsea and Ryde.The bus terminal is adjacent to the Pier entrance very close to the Hovercraft terminal and a bus can be taken direct to Shanklin. Ask to be dropped off at Arthurs Hill br/ br/ Yarmouth,Fishbourne and East Cowes - Bus: Buses arrive at or near to all the IOW ports above to take you to Shanklin via Newport or direct from or via Ryde (terminal is at the entrance to the Pier). Ask to be dropped off at Arthurs Hill in Shanklin. br/ br/ West Cowes - Boat: Red Jet fromSouthampton bierths at the West Cowes terminal, where a bus can be caught for Shanklin via Newport. Ask the Shanklin bus driver to drop you off at Arthurs Hill.
