The Marlborough Hotel is a cosy hotel located in the heart of Shanklin where old and new combine to create the perfect holiday destination. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and the Old Village. For your improved comfort and convenience the hotel is non smoking, all our bedrooms are well decorated with modern amenities and with en-suite facilities. Some bedrooms have an additional feature of balcony views. The fully licensed bar serves a variety of local beers , as well as the usual cappuccino , hot chocolate and light snacks . The welcoming TV lounge offers a quiet place to relax , there is a library and various table games , here and in the bar you can access our Wi-FI network free of charge . If you prefer the outdoors then there is a pleasant garden where you can relax and to soak up the sun . We are multi-lingual speaking French Spanish Portuguese Polish & Russian . From Central London , take A3 to Portsmouth then follow route M275 towards Isle of Wight car ferry terminal ( Wightlink Ferry ). The crossing takes approx. 40 minutes , when arriving in Fishbourne (IOW), follow exit signs to Ryde A3054, this route will take you to Sandown then follow sign post to Shanklin A3055 . When arriving in Shanklin there will be a sign post indicating Ventnor if you follow this direction which is actually Queens Road , you will see the Hotel on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill .Bus and train station are within walking distance from the hotel. There is also a train service from London Waterloo via Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde and Shanklin .
