The Lamplighter

The newly refurbished Lamplighter Dining Rooms is located in Windermere village in the heart of the Lake District. With a total of 11 fully en-suite rooms that have also undergone refurbishment, it is the perfect place from which to explore the Lake District. The rooms have been tastefully decorated along with the bar and restaurant areas. The Lamplighter is best known throughout the area for its food and both welcoming and accommodating staff. The business has been family run for the last 28 years and serves locally sourced home cooked produce in a relaxed and friendly environment. From Oysters with champagne to our world famous fish and chips there is a wonderful range of dishes to suit all tastes. On a Wednesday evening there is also a folk & jazz band that have played with us for the last 21 years and is a great evening and an opportunity to mix with the locals. Private parking is available directly outside the hotel along with a terrace area where drinks and food are served when the sun is shining. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the ground floor of the hotel. Windermere train station, the tourist information centre and the main tour companies operating in the area are all only a 1 - 2 minute walk away. So just relax, unwind and indulge.
