Affordable and friendly, traditional and welcoming, this intimate hotel offers comfortable facilities for the budget conscious traveller. The Winston Hotel is within easy walking distance of Southampton 's West Quay Shopping Centre and conveniently situated for Southampton 's Mayflower Theatre, Southampton Guildhall and Southampton General Hospital. For those interested in the city 's nightlife, The Winston Hotel is less than five minutes from Bedford Place, which features many of the city 's restaurants, clubs and bars, and a short walk or taxi ride from Oceana Night Club venue and the St. Mary 's Football Stadium. Residents are welcome in the on-site restaurant and bar, which features home-cooked meals, friendly staff and televisions showing Sky Sports and Setanta. All rooms have colour television and tea & coffee making facilities. Some rooms offer hairdryers, iron/ironing board however such items are available on request. From M27 p At junction 3, take the M271 exit to Southampton/Docks. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto M271 heading to Southampton/The Docks. At Redbridge Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A35 ramp towards Southampton/The Docks. Merge onto Redbridge Rd (A35). Continue on Millbrook Flyover (A3024). Exit onto Payne s Road. Continue on Howard Road until the traffic lights. p The Winston Hotel is on the corner of Archers Road and Hill Lane. After the traffic lights, continue straight ahead onto Archers Road. The car park is immediately on your left after the traffic lights. p p From M3 p At junction 14, exit toward A33/Southampton. At first roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Bassett Avenue (A33) heading to Southampton. At the second roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Winchester Rd (A35). At the third roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Hill Lane (A35). At the next roundabout, go straight over and continue down Hill Lane. p The Winston Hotel is on the corner of Archers Road and Hill Lane. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Archers Road. The car park is immediately on your left after turning. p p From Southampton Central Train Station (on foot) p Exit Southampton Station on the Platform 1 side. Head straight ahead across the cobbled area and turn left at Commercial Road. Take the first right onto Hill Lane and continue. p The Winston Hotel is on the corner of Archers Road and Hill Lane, and is on the right after the second set of traffic lights.
