Built around a delightful Victorian building, once home to the Duke of Bridgewater, Worsley Park, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club, offers 6611 yards of thrilling Championship golf in idyllic surroundings. The Championship Course at Worsley Park is widely regarded as one of the finest inland courses in the North of England. Designed in the 1990s by European Golf Design in association with former Ryder Cup player Michael King, it has played host to several events on the EuroPro Tour and the Challenge Tour. The course is built around eight lakes and indigenous water features, many of which come into play during your round. The most challenging holes include the 3rd, 8th and the 13th, while the signature 177-yard par-3 7th plays over a small lake to an undulating green guarded by a brook. As a whole, the course is a classic example of a risk-reward layout ?_?_̱ and nowhere is this more apparent than on the short par-4 12th and 17th holes which both appear driveable, but can cause havoc if the tee shot is hit off line.
