The Griffin course is a Championship course which played host to the best professionals in Sussex in 2006 in the Sussex Open Championship. It is a classic parkland course with beautiful trees and vistas and with water on several holes providing further challenges. Feature Hole: The 17th Griffin: Wow! A great hole with 140 yards of water to look at when eyeing up this hole. Long is better than short here.
The Phoenix course is the smaller of the two courses and offers a great introduction to golf. Some of the holes are easier than the Griffin but there are also some to test for the more complete golfer. Both courses wind through tree lined areas but the Phoenix has a more open middle section to allow players a bit of freedom. Feature Holes: The 3rd Phoenix: is a tiny par 3 but do not be too confident as this shot is in between clubs and requires a deft touch to find the green. It is then down through a green edged trail before popping out onto the 4th. The 5th Phoenix: brings water into your thoughts as this par 3 is all of 112 yards carry over the lake. The 51 yard long green means taking note of the pin is vital to select the right club, and a pin at the front should not be dismissed as easy. Now armed with these tips it is up to you to discover the rest – play well!
