Abbotsley occupies a special niche in the hotel market. It is 4 star golf course – just below that level of real national championship courses – with a 3 star hotel. There are just three other golf hotels in the UK in that same bracket. They aren’t saying where. But they are all on the coast!

People come to Abbotsley for the golf, and enjoy our hotel. The hotel is large enough with 42 bedrooms to accommodate groups and societies, but small enough to give special attention to all our visitors. And we are very accessible – 40 miles north of the M25 near the A1, 2 hours south from Leeds and with easy access from Birmingham via the A14.

The Abbotsley Golf Hotel is a charming, traditional retreat with something for everyone _ especially golfers. It features two 18 hole courses, the Abbotsley and the Cromwell, plus the delicious little Huntingdonshire Par 3 course. The original Abbotsley Course was built in 1975, much of it threading its way through ancient woodland and making clever use of streams and the manor house moat.Abbotsley was bought in 1986 by former British Women̍s Open Champion, Vivien Saunders OBE, as a national training centre

Leave the A1M and follow signs to Cambridge (A428), turning left at the Tesco roundabout. If coming from Cambridge along the A428, take a right turn at this roundabout.Go straight across three mini roundabouts and take the third exit at the fourth roundabout into Cromwell Road. After 200 yards, turn right at traffic lights into Potton Road. Follow this road for about half a mile, when the roads bends sharply to the left, carry straight on for approximately one minute and Abbotsley Golf hotel is on the left hand side.
