Luxury hotel rooms in the refurbished Waveney Inn riverside hotel and pub. The pub forms part of the award winning Waveney River Centre destination, with its indoor heated pool. Shop, holiday lodges and boating facilities. The spacious rooms were brand new for 2014 and feature super king size beds, 40in HD TVs and everything you need for a relaxing break including. Breakfast, swimming and Wi-Fi. Use of our pedestrian ferry to Carlton Marshes is also provided to our guests. Whilst staying with us, you can enjoy the Norfolk Broads by canoe or day cruiser, explore the surrounding countryside by bike, or just soak up the glorious views across the marshes from the Waveney Inn 's alfresco decking area. Our air conditioned bar and restaurant offers a delicious menu of locally sourced, home cooked food and a range of local ales. If you do feel the need to escape by car, popular day trips include Somerleyton with its stately home and maze, the historic market town of Beccles and Oulton Broad with its lovely park and gardens. Golf and horse riding are both available within a 15 minute drive and the popular beaches of Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Southwold are less than 30 minutes away, as is the historic City of Norwich - one of the UK 's top retail and cultural destinations.

When visiting by car, follow the A143 (Haverhill-Great Yarmouth road) to Haddiscoe and turn at the village hall into Wiggs Road, signposted Waveney River Centre (left when travelling from the east and right when travelling from the west). Continue to follow the brown signs, turning left into Burgh Road after 2 miles and proceed for another 2.5 miles until you arrive at the Centre. Please note that the route is narrow and passes through a small village so please drive carefully having regard for our neighbours. If your Tom Tom tells you to go a different way, please ignore it and follow the brown signs instead. The route usually suggested by satellite navigation systems features a number of blind bends and is completely unsuitable for holiday traffic. The signposted route does have some passing bays Waveney River Centre is not on any public transport routes - the closest station by road is Haddiscoe (6 miles). Local taxi companies can be found on our website. If you re travelling light, you can walk from one of the Oulton Broad stations (50-60 minute walk - partly across a field - and then via our pedestran ferry).
