The Thornhill is ideally situated on the seafront and only a few 100 yards from the shops, cafes,and restaurants in Teignmouth. The station is a short walk away. Our rooms are tastefully decorated and our beds are extremely comfortable. A delicious breakfast is served in the bright and spacious dining room. We can cater for your dietary requirements if you let us know in advance. ,There are lots of delightful places to visit from Teignmouth. Shaldon, a very quaint village is accessible by ferry or by car. The beautiful cathedral city of Exeter is half an hour away on a picturesque train ride along the coast. Powderham Castle, the pretty town of Topsham, the long beaches at Exmouth, and caves in Torquay are all worth a visit. We offer warm, personal hospitality in a relaxed and friendly environment and look forward to your visit. Children over 10 years are welcome.

By car: On the 379 from Exeter follow signs to the railway station. At the station roundabout take the 3rd junction, Hollands Road. On the 379 from Dawlish, at the station roundabout, take the 2nd junction for Holland s Road. Follow Hollands road around, keeping right and make your way to the promenade which will be straight ahead. Turn left. Keep going until you pass St Michael s church on your left. We are just past the church set back on the left. We do not have parking. There is metered parking across the road or 24 hour parking at Eastcliff car park on Dawlish road which is a two minute walk from us. From the station by foot: About a five minute walk. Turn left as you come out the station and you will see Myrtle hill. Walk up the road to the junction and turn right at Dawlish Road. A few yards along turn left into Mere Lane. Follow the little lane which curves to the right. You will see the promenade and we are on the left.
