Welcome to the Appletree B&B. The Appletree Bed & Breakfast in Hertford is a charming and peaceful house offering a warm welcome and homely atmosphere to guests all year round. We can accommodate for any occasion, whether staying locally for business, coming to visit family or a romantic getaway with your partner, we make sure that no matter what your reason for staying, you will always want to come back. We offer comfortable and relaxed accommodation in a warm ample setting with quiet gardens and a private heated swimming pool (April-Sept) for the use of guests. Each room is tastefully decorated to the highest standard with a minimum of Freeview in every room and free broadband internet and tea and coffee making facilities in each room. Check-in times are between 6pm-8pm weekdays with checkout expected by 10am. Check-in is available outside of 6-8pm however comes at an additional cost of £10 and needs to be agreed with the manager beforehand by mobile. Weekend check-in times are more flexible, please contact manage to discuss. The Green Pippin and Scarlet Permain rooms are our two single rooms, both have Freeview TV and Free Broadband internet, Tea and coffee making facilities and they share a bathroom. The Green Pippin has a set of French windows which open up and allows extra light and fresh air into the room as well as a view of the pool and garden. The Hidden Rose is our en-Suite double room. This room has a double bed, desk, free broadband internet, and large TV equipped with Freeview. There is also tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave and a fridge full of complimentary beverages for you upon your arrival. It has a panoramic view of the garden, and sumptuous bedding to help you relax while enjoying the peace and quiet. The en-suite has a spacious shower, toilet and sink in a large clean bathroom. The Golden Delicious is our luxury en-suite room. This room can be a romantic honeymoon style room for two or a family room depending on your needs. The room is equipped with a super king-size bed and the fold out sofa bed can be made up for the children, if necessary. This room has a large roll-top bath with a shower fitting depending on your preference as well as a toilet, bidet and sink in a classy 5 style bathroom. There is a large TV with freeview. There is also tea and coffee making facilities with a microwave and fridge with a variety of beverages. The room also has a breath-taking view over the pool, the garden and lots of areas of Hertford. Our B&B is situated only a 5 minute walk from Hertford North station which has rail links to Kings Cross, Moorgate, Finsbury Park and Stevenage. We are also close to Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Hatfield, Ware, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne and Harlow. There are easy transport links to Luton Airport, and Stansted Airport and we are within easy reach of major motorways such as the A1, A10, M1, & M25. We have no problem with Guests who bring Dogs or Children. Please note, we have 2 friendly cocker spaniels - McKenzie and Daisy, who are both excellent with children and are both playful and friendly dogs. There is a free on-site car park suitable for all the guest 's cars. A range of Breakfasts are served in the dining area overlooking the pool and garden. We can accommodate a range of different dietary requests e.g. Vegetarian, halal, gluten free. We also have a choice of full English breakfast or continental upon request.
