The Last Post has been established in Southend since 1995, originally the city 's post office. From May 2015 we are now proud to offer 14 en suite rooms, with a choice of twins, doubles or family rooms, all boasting digital temperature control, free unlimited Wi-Fi and Freeview television. We also have interconnecting rooms for larger families. However, unfortunately we do not have rooms on the ground floor and there is no lift access at our hotel. There is an additional £20 charge on top of the double room rate for family rooms which would provide you with a sofa bed or Z bed, please contact the hotel prior to booking your room to ensure there is one available for you. Complimentary tea, coffee & bottled water provided in all rooms with iron and ironing board available on request. Breakfast is served daily from 7am until noon and our full food menu is served until 11pm. Southend is a vibrant seaside town on the south of the Essex coastline at the edge of the Thames estuary. The town caters for all, whether it 's shopping on the busy high street, a day out with the family at Adventure Island, a night on the town in the clubs and bars or just a lazy walk along the longest pier in England. The hotel is just a stone 's throw from High Street and only a five-minute walk from the seafront, pier and Adventure Island Park. Oh, and you will want to try one of the world-famous Rossi ice creams on your visit too!

The pub/hotel is located in the heart of Southend s town centre, opposite Southend s central station and just a 45-minute train ride from London s Fenchurch Street Station. We are also a ten minute walk to Southend Victoria train station which offers 4 trains an hour to London Southend Airport in under 5 minutes. For arrival by car use postcode SS1 1AS in your Satnav.
