Brynafon Country House

Originally built in 1870, Brynafon Country House is a traditional and quirky mid-wales country property, rich in original character and charm. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Gwastedyn Hill and the Druid 's Circle, the Brynafon Country House is close to the beautiful Elan Valley and within easy reach of the River Wye. The historic market town of Rhayader is less than 0.5 miles away and Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding and Rehabilitation Centre is next door. Originally a workhouse, Brynafon retains many of its original features including its many staircases and stone grading windows. Brynafon is available for for hire for weddings, conferences and special events. Brynafon also has eight self catering holiday cottages and apartments available for hire all year round, and From October 2015 accommodation is also available on a room only basis for short stays.
