Honister House

By Car from north or south: Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 40 and head west along the A66. Take the second exit signed Keswick, onto the A5271 and follow the road to the end. Turn left at the T-junction and after one third of a mile you will come to a mini- roundabout. Take the second exit (called Heads Road) and you will soon see a large car park on the left. Park in the car park and call us and we will come down to meet you with the car park permit if requested. If you don t have a mobile phone, or if you don t have a signal, you can walk to Honister House in a couple of minutes. Look for the Fiat garage and walk between the garage and Café Bar 26 and as you emerge onto Lake Road you will see the famous George Fisher Mountaineering Store. Walk past the front door of Fishers and you will see Honister House across the road. By Train/Bus: The nearest train station is Penrith. Bus number X4 or X5, taking forty minutes, connects Penrith train station with Keswick bus station. From Keswick bus station, it s less than 10 minutes walk to Honister House. With Booths supermarket on your left, turn left on to Crow Park Road. At the first road junction, turn right onto Heads Road/B5289. Follow the road and you ll see a large public car park on your left. Go through the car park towards the Fiat garage in the far left corner. Walk between the garage and Café Bar 26 and as you emerge onto Lake Road you will see the famous George Fisher Mountaineering Store. Go past the front door of Fishers and you will see Honister House across the road.
