By Bicycle Dunblane is a brilliant day s ride from Glasgow or Edinburgh along canal paths, disused railway lines and rural roads. There are scenic quiet roads and off track routes that will take you into the amazing countryside surrounding us. You are welcome to use our secure Sheffield bicycle racks around the back of the restaurant to store your bike during your stay. By Train We re on the main railway route through Scotland, it s just 5hr 40mins by train from central London, 1hr from Edinburgh, 40mins from Glasgow, 30 mins from Perth and 15 mins to Gleneagles. Trains run all day long in and out of Dunblane, just jump off and follow the signs for the cathedral, we re just opposite. The local station provides great access for local walking and cycling excursions to Bridge of Allan (4 mins), Stirling (7 mins), Linlithgow (20mins), many other stops between Edinburgh and Glasgow, and north to Gleneagles and Perth. Local buses are useful for visiting places off the railway network, including Crieff, Doune, Callander, Stirling University, the Hillfoots and Fife.
