The Archway is an award winning Victorian guesthouse, tastefully furnished throughout. A warm welcome, good food and the comfort of guests are our priority. We have four rooms both double and twin all with en-suite facilities, central heating, a comfortable chair, TV/DVD, free WIFI, hairdryer and beverage tray with home made biscuits. The house is entirely non-smoking and has been awarded four stars by the English Tourist Board. We are located in a quiet street of Windermere village just 300metres from the train station,shops, restaurants and pubs. Sorry we do not except children under 7 Our front rooms have distant mountain views of Coniston Old Man, Wetherlam, Crinkle Crags, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and the Langdale Pikes. A quality guest house in a great location Ideal base for seeing the Lake District either with or without car Private parking spaces available 4 rooms, double or twin available, all en suite An award winning breakfast with a variety of choices Enthusiastically run by a young, professional proprietors We love the area and set out to help you enjoy it too

The Archway Guest House is situated in the centre of the village of Windermere and is easily reached from the M6 motorway. From Exit 36 follow the signs for Kendal/Windermere (A591). On approaching Windermere take the second left (Elleray Road) and then first right into College Road. We are 100 yards on the left. The Archway is just a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations. As you exit the train or bus stations turn left onto High Street and follow the right fork. Cross straight over the next intersection into College Road. We are situated 100 yards on the left.
