At the Boat Yard Inn, we offer great value bed and breakfast to complement the Canalside surroundings, offering a fresh contemporary feel. Whether staying with us for business or pleasure, you can relax knowing we will look after you.The bedrooms are completely separate from the bar and restaurant to ensure a peaceful night 's sleep and are all on ground floor level with an outside terrace with table and chairs outside each one. We are easily accessible from the M65 motorway (Junction 3), with parking spaces outside each room which is adjacent to our Large car park for . Each room offers stylish furnishings, comfortable double or twin beds, LCD Freeview TVs, Free WIFI, Desk & Lamp, Tea and coffee making facilities and luxury en-suite bathrooms, complete with both a Bath and a separate walk in rainforest power shower to ensure a revitalising start to the morning), Heated Towel Rail, Hairdryer, Iron & Board & plenty of wardrobe space. All rooms are NON-smoking, evidence of any smoking in the rooms will have a charge of £100.00. Any evidence of the bed being soiled will result in a £100.00 charge. In the morning, wander across to our Coffee Lounge/Bar to have a freshly cooked full English or continental breakfast, complete with rich J. Atkinson & Co coffee or freshly brewed Lancaster Blend tea to ensure the best possible start to your day. If you want to stay for Lunch or Dinner, our team of Chefs, headed up by Michael Fish, freshly prepare food from our menu on a daily basis and as we are accredited by the Taste of Lancashire, we are proud to be working with a team of Local Lancashire Suppliers for our Meat, Fish, Bread, Vegetables and Cakes -even our Crisps are from Lancashire. Along with our main Menu, we work closely with our suppliers to create daily specials from any market and seasonal products they have to offer us. Landlord John Ketley, a keen supporter of Real Ales, keeps 4 Handpulls in perfect condition and regularly changes our offer to appeal to the keenest of Real Ale Drinkers - CAMRA members can get 10% off their Beer on production of their Membership Card! We also have a good range of Lagers, Ciders, Bottled Beer & Ciders and of course our eclectic Wine List. A wide range of soft drinks are also available. During the Summer months - we have a delightful outside seating area, overlooking the Canal, where you can just watch the world go by, enjoying the Lancashire Countryside - or maybe just have a well earned sit down with a beer or a coffee after a Long walk or bike ride. If you are meeting the girls for Lunch, having a business meeting, or maybe a Family Sunday Lunch - we can accommodate you! On Sundays we offer our Carvery, where we offer home roasted meats with the usual freshly cooked accompaniments, (when its gone - its gone!) We also have a large car park surrounding the Boatyard Inn and a covered external sheltered area. We welcome dogs either outside or in our coffee shop - as long as they have well behaved owners!. We have facilities for our customers with disabilities, in the form of a ramp into the restaurant from disabled parking spots at the front entrance to the pub, level floor seating in the restaurant and disabled WC facilities. In one of our rooms (which also serves as a family room) we have an ensuite Wet Room, with an adjustable seat under our Rainforest Shower, raised toilet, grab rails and emergency pull cord.
