Wheatsheaf Inn Wensleydale

Located in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National, and nestled between the ancient site of Bolton Castle and the astounding Aysgarth Falls, the Wheatsheaf Inn offers relaxing accommodation for walkers, tourists, and visitors of the Yorkshire Dales. In 1941James Herriot and his wife, Helen, spent their honeymoon at the Wheatsheaf. In his book he describes how much they enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent food. This is a tradition that we keep very much alive today with real ales, good food, and log fires. Whether for a romantic getaway, a resting place on a walking holiday, or for a special occasion, we at the Wheatsheaf will offer you a personal service and comfortable stay. We welcome dogs to the Wheatsheaf in the bar and have a number of dog-friendly. We also have pet free rooms available.
