With its elegant Jacobean Great Hall, the Visit England four star Thurnham Hall is a 12th-century country estate set in nearly 30 acres of grounds in scenic Lancashire. It features a leisure centre with heated indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness centre and beauty salon, available for a surcharge. The grounds include a picnic area, fishing lake and playground. Set in either the historic main house or in modern courtyard buildings, the spacious apartments include a well-equipped kitchen with hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, kettle and coffee machine. Each apartment has a private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer. Freeview TV, a DVD player and iHome alarm clock are also provided. Some apartments have a balcony or terrace. The on-site restaurant and lounge bar provide delicious local and international cuisine in a friendly setting. For your convenience a grocery store is also available on-site. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property, at an additional cost. The historic university city of Lancaster, with its medieval castle, Maritime Museum and the majestic Williamson Park, is just 5 miles away and local buses stop at the gates of the property. Apartments are not cleaned on a daily basis. The number of cleans depends on the length of stay. Extra cleaning services are available for an additional fee. The maximum number of cots/cribs in a room is 1. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
