Just under an hour 's drive away is the city of Carlisle which offers excellent transport links to the rest of the country as well as a regular train service to Penrith. There is also a bus that stops 200 yards away from the Hotel which can take guests to Keswick. For those flying in, Newcastle Airport is approximately a 2 hour drive away.
