Paradise Lodge is a five star seaside retreat just across a quiet road from the sand dunes. Located in the prime position in this picture postcard seaside village, with unparalleled white sandy beaches, we have renovated this beautiful Victorian villa to the highest standards, furnished it with loving care and equipped it with everything you would expect to find in a luxury property. It offers wonderfully peaceful accommodation on two levels with breathtaking views of the shoreline and the estuary. It is light filled, spacious and comfortable, making the most of the huge bay windows and slightly elevated position. It has a garden to the front and an enclosed yard at the back. With 3 bedrooms, the Lodge can sleep up to seven people, plus one baby (cot, high chair and pushchair can all be provided). The master bedroom suite is on the ground floor making it ideal for those with limited mobility. Bed linen and towels are provided and gas/electricity is included in the price. Beach towels on request. A luxury welcome pack, with enough for a light supper and breakfast (with a few treats too), is also provided. Mini fridges in all bedrooms.

Alnmouth is just a few miles from the A1, accessed by the A1068. Newcastle airport is approximately 40 miles away and there is an East Coast main line railway station at Alnmouth, making it equally accessible from London and Aberdeen. By road from the North or South Leave A1 at sliproad for A1068, signposted Alnwick (NOT the first Alnwick turn off -A1340 - when you re coming from the North). From the North, at the junction, turn right onto the A1068,South Road. From the South, continue to roundabout. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit, continuing on the A1068 and signposted Alnmouth. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit, still on the A1068 and cross over a very modern bridge. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B1338. Enter Alnmouth over narrow bridge. At the roundabout, take 2nd exit into Northumberland Street. At bottom of Northumberland Street, bear right into Riverside Road. Paradise Lodge is immediately on your right. By rail Our wonderful East Coast rail service stops at Alnmouth and you can then get a taxi to Paradise Lodge. It really is the most glorious train journey, with spectacular coastline scenery. If you don t want or need to bring a car, this is a fantastic way to travel. The local taxi service is Alnmouth Private Hire on 01665 830096 and it will cost you about £4 each way (worth booking before you arrive) By air Newcastle airport is approximately 40 miles away and hiring a car from there is probably the easiest option. Otherwise, take the shuttle bus to Newcastle station and then take the train to Alnmouth and taxi from the local station. By ferry The North Shields International Ferry Terminal at Royal Quays is approximately seven miles east of Newcastle via the A1058 and A19 and is well signposted. You can then drive directly to Alnmouth using the signposted Coastal Route from the A19. There are bus services from the terminal building to Newcastle City Centre which operate directly after the arrival of each ferry, allowing foot passengers to then take the train to Alnmouth.
