The Sat Nav takes you to the ferry port and, as there are two ferries, sometimes the distant one has finished operating before you get there! Quickest route is: take A82 from Glasgow, via Dumbarton and Loch Lomond. Follow A83 at Tarbet (Loch Lomond), then follow Arrochar, Inveraray, Lochgilphead, Tarbert (Loch Fyne). On entering Campbeltown, turn first left following sign to Carradale B842. After half mile road forks, with left fork going uphill to Carradale. Take right fork, down to seafront. This is Low Askomil, a 20mph zone. After 300m Craigard House Hotel is on left.
