We re set back from the main High Street so our rooms guarantee you a quiet night 's sleep. Since it 's refurbishment in September 2013 each of the 19 en-suite bedrooms is individually designed with luxury bathrooms, air conditioning, flatscreen digital televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, and a small safe for personal belongings. Whether visiting the Penny Farthing for business or for pleasure, the high quality finish of the rooms guarantees a warm and comfortable stay. Breakfast is served in our informal breakfast room where a range of hot and cold dishes are available to suit all requirements, from traditional cooked breakfasts prepared by our on-site breakfast chef, to porridge, cereals and continental options. Guests at the Penny Farthing can dine at our sister restaurant, the Kings Arms, just a short walk up the High Street, perfect for business or leisure lunches, dinners, relaxing with coffees, or a few evening drinks.

The Pennyfarthing Hotel is located in Berkhamsted on the High Street. You will see a Cafe Rouge Restaurant at The Front of the building and a pedestrian entrance to the side. If driving please carry on past the Cafe Rouge (with Cafe Rouge on your right) then turn right at the mini roundabout following signs to the Supermarket and Public Car Park, On the right handside you will see the signage for The Pennyfarthing Hotel, please pull up to the red and white barrier and it will open allowing access to our secure parking.The Pennyfarthing Hotel is within easy reach of the A41, M1, and M25. When coming along the A41 simply follow signs for Berkhamsted / Chesham. When using the M1 coming from the North exit at Junction 8 and follow signs through Hemel Hempstead and then A41, then taking the Berkhamsted / Chesham Junction. When coming from M1 south please exit at Junction 5 or 6 and follow signs for Kings Langley and then Berkhamsted along A41. From the M25 please exit at the Kings Langley junction and follow A41 to Berkhamsted.
