Napier Rooms is a beautiful Guesthouse in a beautiful, leafy, residential suburb of Edinburgh, just a 10 minute bus ride or 25-30 minute walk to Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. Offering free wifi, there are also many fabulous restaurants close by. We offer a selection of bedrooms in a modern, contemporary style. Parking is free all weekend and all night from 5.30pm to 8.30am each week day. (Free parking all week can be found just 500 metres from the guesthouse). There is a lounge room and kitchen that guests are welcome to use. Please note that the Guesthouse is a family home with 3 young children, who can be noisy in the mornings so ideally suited to those who want to experience life in a Scottish household and want a lovely immaculately clean room and really friendly hosts. All credit card payments are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee, however debit cards are not. We always try to check in all guests personally but having children does mean that sometimes we can t always be home, however your key will always be available in the key safe so please let us know your arrival time where possible or call on arrival if there is no immediate answer at the door. We are strictly non-smoking. Our aim is to help you have a lovely visit to Edinburgh and one that you will always remember and look forward to coming back to. As we are only a small guesthouse and not a big hotel, we do not have a 24 hour reception, and therefore check in time is available from 2pm until 7pm only. If you are going to arrive after 7pm, please call us on the day of booking in order to let us know to ensure we can arrange access for you to your accommodation. Please see our Terms & Conditions for further information: TERMS & CONDITIONS: BOOKING CONFIRMATION Upon receipts of guests booking request the value of the first night only is automatically taken from the payment card supplied. This is non-refundable at all times. If invalid payment card details are supplied, the guest will be alerted and given 24hrs to provide an alternative method of payment, without which the booking will be cancelled. Please note that any credit card transactions are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee. Debit cards are not subject to this transaction fee. The remainder of the balance is payable upon departure. PAYMENT FEES Please note that all credit card payments (including Visa, MasterCard, American Express) will incur a credit card transaction fee of 2.5% per transaction. Debit cards will not incur this transaction fee. PLEASE NOTE that there are no card payment facilities available at the B&B and the balance will be required in cash. We regret that cheques are not accepted. CANCELLATION POLICY First night deposit is non-refundable at all times and full balance is only payable if booking is cancelled within 7 days before arrival date. RECEPTION Due to being a family-run business and not a Hotel, we do not offer a 24hr Reception. Therefore, we may not always be available on the premises in person. Reception is open from 8am until 8pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm at weekends. FULLY NO-SMOKING POLICY On 26 March 2006 the law on smoking in Scotland changed. Smoking is no longer allowed in enclosed public places. Failure to comply with the law is now a criminal offence and individuals will receive a fixed penalty of £200 for smoking in a no-smoking premises. This will be automatically deducted from your payment card. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT Check in is available from 14:00 hrs on the day of arrival. Checkout is 10.00 am. Late checkout will be charged as the full rate for the following night. PLEASE NOTE that there are no card payment facilities available at the B&B and the balance will be required in cash.
