The Metropole has the best views across the fishing harbour of Padstow and the camel Estuary. The hotel offers you the choice of a single room with Estuary views, and a standard twin or double or either room type with an Estuary or Harbour view at an additional cost. The hotels AA rosette Restaurant offers excellent food and service and with a fantastic view of Padstow harbour across to Rock. Bookings are strongly recommended for dinner. In addition the Cafe Bar is open daily from 10am until 9pm with great views also and the hotel has two lounges for you to relax and unwind in. The hotel is fully non-smoking and all areas of the hotel offer free wireless broadband. Padstow has more in more recent times been put on the map by Rick Stein and his Seafood Restaurant is situated directly below the hotel with a special set of steps that goes between the hotel and Ricks Steins Restaurant. The Met is the ideal location to base yourself and to explore all the delights that Cornwall has to offer. Walk or cycle the Camel trail which starts at the bottom of the hill from the hotel. Enjoy a variety of golf courses all within easy drive of the hotel, and do not forget to make time to visit The Eden Project, Prideaux Place, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Restormel Castle, Lanhydrock House, slightly further afield. Wine lovers will be delighted to find the Camel Valley Vineyard

Fly from Gatwick or Stanstead into Newquay and pick up a taxi or car hire for the 20 minute drive across to Padstow. The A30 has opened up the rest of the country to Cornwall:from this dual carriageway take the A395 and A39 to Wadebridge, from the A39 take the A389 to Padstow. Follow the signs to the town centre and you will find us on the left hand side.
