By Car From the North, South or West: - Take the A69 from junction 43 of the M6, in the direction of Hexham / Newcastle. - After 5 or 6 miles, turn right at the first set of traffic lights at Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge. - Proceed for 1 mile through the village of Heads Nook and a further mile until the road bears sharply right. - As the road bears right, turn left into Faugh (pronounced Faff) village - you will find the String of Horses on your left as you go down the hill. From the East: - Turn left at the Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge traffic lights. These are the first set of traffic lights on the A69, some 3 miles after having passed Brampton. - Proceed for 1 mile through the village of Heads Nook and a further mile until the road bears sharply right. - As the road bears right, turn left into Faugh village. You will find the String of Horses on your left as you go down the hill. By Train Carlisle Citadel station is 20 minutes away. By Air Newcastle Airport is 50 minutes away and Manchester and Glasgow Airports are less than 2 hours away.
