The Avon Gorge Hotel is a historic building which offers unparalleled views of Brunel 's Grade One listed Clifton Suspension Bridge, said to be one of the worlds greatest bridges. Boasting a fantastic panorama, the hotel is also in a very central position for both business and leisure trips alike, with Bristol City Centre within walking distance. The views don t stop here, from the popular Bridge Café and White Lion Bar, with an extensive all-weather terrace area, look out across the Somerset and the southern areas of Bristol. By foot discover some of the country 's finest architecture in the surrounding area of Clifton, just on your door step Leisure facilities are available nearby for the hotel guests, consisting of a pool, gym and sauna. We have a small car park behind the hotel. When checking in, please ask a member of staff for a car pass. For guests arriving with luggage or with reduced mobility, a drop off area is available outside the hotel. On street parking is also available outside the hotel, and half an hour is free with a ticket from the machine, enabling you to come to reception and request a parking permit and drop off any luggage Dogs are allowed to the hotel, there is a charge of £20 per stay, a dog bed and bowl will also be supplied.

Directions from Bristol International Airport: Head towards Bristol A38, after 6 miles, take the left hand lane A3029, at roundabout take 1st exit onto Winterstoke Road - A3029, 2nd exit at next two roundabouts, still on A3029. At traffic signals branch left, then merge onto Brunel Way (A3029 - City Centre). Over swing bridge, branch left (signposted Ring Road, Avonmouth) then merge onto A4. At traffic signals turn right onto A4176 Bridge Valley Road, signposted Clifton. At top of Hill, take first right onto Clifton Down then follow down this road taking the next right. When you reach the crossroads head straight over onto Sion Hill, hotel is 1 minutes drive on right hand side. Directions from Motorway: M5: Leave at junction 18a and keep in right-hand lane onto M5 spur (signposted Avonmouth). Continue forward, keep in left hand lane onto A4 (signposted Bristol). At roundabout take 2nd exit onto A4 Bristol. After 5 miles (approximately) turn sharp left at the traffic lights onto Bridge Valley Road. At top of Hill, take first right onto Clifton Down then follow down this road taking the next right. When you reach the crossroads head straight over onto Sion Hill, hotel is 1 minutes drive on right hand side. M4: Leave at junction 20, keep in left hand lane and join M5 (South West). Then leave M5 at junction 18a and keep in right-hand lane onto M5 spur (signposted Avonmouth). Continue forward, keep in left hand lane onto A4 (signposted Bristol). At roundabout take 2nd exit onto A4 Bristol. After 5 miles (approximately) turn sharp left at the traffic lights onto Bridge Valley Road. At top of Hill, take first right onto Clifton Down then follow down this road taking the next right.
