The Slaughters Country Inn formally Washbourne Court is located in the heart of the village of Lower Slaughter one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds this charming property sits right on the river bank. The 30 bedrooms are contemporary in style, dining is relaxed and informal in Scholars bar, enjoy roaring log fires in the winter months and dining al fresco on the riverside terrace in the summer. Perfectly positioned for exploring the Cotswolds Washbourne Court is an excellent location. Recently purchased by Brownsword Hotels the property will develop under their ownership in the coming months. Bathrobes and slippers are not included. Bottled water is included Newspaper not included but can be ordered on reception

From London Take the M40 north leaving at junction 8. Follow the A40 to Oxford and Burford. Turn right at the roundabout into Burford. At the bottom of the hill turn left onto the A424 - Stow Road. After about 8 miles turn left at the traffic lights onto the A429. In 1 mile turn right into the Slaughters. Washbourne Court is in the centre of the village just over the river on the left.If you want to travel by train there is direct service from London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh. From there you can catch taxi or a Pulham Bus to Bourton-on-the-Water. Lower Slaughter is approx 1 mile on North-East of Bourton. From North and East Midlands Take the M40 south, leaving at junction 15. Follow the A429 south to Moreton-in-Marsh then Stow on the Wold. Approximately 3 miles after Stow, turn right onto the Slaughters. Washbourne Court Hotel is in the centre of the village just over the river on the left.
