New investment at The Rayleigh Club is leading to big improvements. All of our equipment has been upgraded and the appointment of our new Course Manager has made a significant difference to the quality of both of our courses. Our members are thrilled with the results. Further improvements are scheduled to begin soon.
Our new, purpose built, nine-hole practice course benefits from the same care and attention as our longer courses. We are big believers in what Gary Player said; ?_?_??the more I practice, the luckier I get?_?_?_, so we take practice seriously. A large putting green, well kept pitching areas and the best driving range in the region help players work on their long and short games all year round.
A WARM WELCOME
Our warm, spacious Club House provides members and non-members with changing rooms equipped with excellent facilities. As well as welcoming, well stocked bars and a relaxed dining room to offer comfort after a long day on the course.
Players at The Rayleigh Club will also find that a well stocked shop provides essentials and accessories from the finest brands in golf. The Rayleigh Club shop also stocks an exclusive range of branded Rayleigh Club clothing and equipment, from wet weather gear to sweaters, gloves and balls.
South Course
“6,600 demanding but rewarding yards. Tough approaches and rolling fairways will put your course management skills to the test.” Our South Course poses a challenge to the abilities of the most capable golfers. Widely recognised as one of the finest in the south east of England, it has earned its status as a 'championship' course, playing host to the PGA’s East Anglian Open. A number of eye-catching improvements have made it even more of a 'must-play'. A round on the South Course is a demanding experience, asking difficult questions of every player who takes it on. Passing through parkland, woodland and lakes, it requires consistently high quality shot-making. The South Course is predominantly for Rayleigh Club members and their guests and anyone playing must have or have a partner with a recognised CDH number. We offer a limited number of tee times throughout the week which offer non-members the chance to experience the South Course.

East Course
“18-holes set against the backdrop of some of England’s most beautiful countryside.” The East Course offers players the same matchless quality as its bigger brother but is more accessible and forgiving. Its 4,600 yards are perfect for a relaxed round while pin placements and hazards are less demanding. Recent improvements mean that it is now one of the best short, 18-hole courses in the south-east of England.

Academy Course
The Rayleigh Club is dedicated to helping golfers improve their games. That’s why our short course benefits from the same care and attention as our long courses. The Academy Course provides our Club Pros with a setting in which to teach practical course management for junior and senior players alike. As a part of The Rayleigh Club’s Golf Academy, it is a vital tool in all of our teaching programmes. Juniors are welcome on The Academy Course and it is the perfect place for them to improve their game in a friendly and encouraging environment.
