The 18-hole championship standard 6,855 yards par 72 Rosebery course looks in one direction over magnificent chestnut trees across the Vale of Aylesbury, and in the other over the clubhouse grounds, to the distant Chiltern Hills. The Rosebery course has spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The front nine are played around the perimeter of the course, which is mainly surrounded by the mature woodland. The 6th and 7th holes are played parallel to the historic bridle path, bordered by magnificent chestnut trees that used to link the towers to the famous Stud Farm where three Derby winners were bred at the turn of the 19th century. The 9th hole measures over 600 yards and before admiring the breathtaking backdrop of the Chilterns, the drive must be threaded through trees on either side of the fairway. The back nine has two long par 4's, the 10th and 12th, before finishing on the 18th hole which tempts the golfer to open the shoulders with another drive towards the distant hills.
