The course was designed in 1990 by Jimmy Thomson, who at the time was the Golf Professional at Batchwood Golf Course. His aim was to create a shorter course which would introduce non-golfers to the game whilst allowing them to learn about the sport̥s etiquette. As the course has grown it has been regarded as the perfect facility for beginners as well as an ideal spot for a seasoned golfer to tailor his or her short game. With 9 challenging holes, views of the Cathedral as a back drop and its close proximity to the town centre where better to spend some time on the course?
