A family run business since 1995, West Malling Golf Club, offers two excellent 18 hole courses, a well - appointed club house, practice facilities and golf shop for both members and visitors. The Club was acquired in the early 1980̍s by 3 golf enthusiasts, in which they grew West Malling into a popular golf destination known throughout the South East. In 1995 two of the current owners had reached retirement age, however one still felt he had the drive and ambition to further the club. With this in mind, he introduced the business to his family and together continued to run the club through the millennium. Having now reached retirement himself he left the business to his family who continue to run the club today. The Club still remains very family orientated and invites everyone to come and enjoy what West Malling has to offer. Established in 1974 and designed by the legendary former Open Champion and 5 times Ryder Cup player Max Faulkner, West Malling Golf Club sits in the heart of the Kent countryside at the foot of the North Downs. Originally only 18 holes, the course was extended and split into two in the late eighties. The two courses, Spitfire and Hurricane, named in honour of the iconic fighter planes that flew out of the nearby airfield at West Malling during the Second World War, are a challenge for all standards of golfer.
