Tyneside Golf Club is amongst the oldest clubs in the North East of England, established in 1879 and still widely regarded as among the finest parkland courses in the region.
This is a challenging though enjoyable test for players of all abilities. The course is renowned for the quality of its greens and the free draining nature of the land means that it is playable all year round. The course has been blessed by nature. It sits high above the River Tyne and the beautiful Tyne valley on a sand and gravel base, giving the course incredible drainage. Tyneside is open all year round when many other courses in the area are closed.
At a little over six thousand yards and with a par of 70 it is not overlong but offers a stiff challenge to any golfer. Every hole is distinct, both in appearance and the way it plays, offering great variety for your round _ for example the 4 par 3̍s point directly North ,South, .East and West and are completely different in nature and length, creating a different challenge whatever the conditions.
