A par 71 (SS70) and par 72 (SS72) for ladies, High Elms Golf Course, features many tree-lined fairways and strategically placed greenside bunkers which call for accurate driving and well placed iron shots. With its large variety of mature trees and excellent layout, High Elms is a public course of outstanding character and quality.
Apart from the normal mental challenges of golf, High Elms Golf Course gives you plenty of other things to think of, uphill and downhill lies, sidehill lies, doglegs and the 13th, unlucky for many regular players. It may only be a 224 yard par 3 from the white tees, but out of bounds left and right, uphill and over 3 bunkers to the green, means that although it is stroke index 2 on the mens card, many believe it to be the hardest hole on the course. Do not be put off though, play it as a par 4 and walk away happy.This club was established in 1969.
