Rolling fairways lined with mature stands of trees mean that accuracy and course management are at a premium rather than just length of hitting. The beautiful Herefordshire countryside makes this a relaxing, friendly and picturesque place to play golf in any season but be too aggressive and the course will bite back _ hard. Designed by the leading architect Ken Cotton in the early 1960's, the club is now advised by another outstanding course architect, Donald Steel - the architect for many famous courses including the redesign to championship standard of the Jubilee Course at St. Andrews.
