This elevated hilltop course is noted for the tranquility of its surroundings and the panoramic views over the Cambrian Coast. Named recently among the International Opera Star Bryn Terfel's favourite courses in the Wales Golf annual brochure, the view from the 9th tee at Criccieth is one of the most magnificent you'll see anywhere. The course measures 5034 par 67 and is a challenging test for any level of golfer. Parts of the course is believed to have been designed by the legendary James Braid and therefore offers a variety of natural hazards. Criccieth's penultimate hole being a challenging par 4 with a green 75 feet (23 m) above the tee, whilst the signature finishing hole is just 100 yards (91 m) long with the green 100 feet (30 m) below the tee. Criccieth golf club was established in 1905.
